St. George Orthodox Christian Church is the oldest of 50 parishes in the Diocese of Wichita and Mid-America. We are under the immediate spiritual leadership of Bishop Basil of Wichita. The Holy Synod of the Church of Antioch is headed by Patriarch John X. Our episcopacy is in the line of apostolic succession from the Apostle Peter.

Originally hailing from central Kansas, Father Christopher has served as the pastor of Saint George since 2006.


Hieromonk Philip Vreeland

Father Philip served as pastor of Saint George church from 1989-1999. After "retiring" to serve as a mission priest in various places and pastoring Three Hierarchs Orthodox Mission in Garden City, Kansas, Father Philip has returned to his native Nebraska.
